We woke this morning to all the correct signs for a decent day; cloudless skies, a light offshore breeze and a fair-sized swell. By the time we arrived at Moulay around midday it looked decently windy so up went the 5.2. This proved to be just slightly on the wrong side of powered up though - I was planing quite comfortably to start with, but the wind died a tad and soon it was crap. So I came in to change up to the 5.8 but still the wind refused to properly play ball and rarely was I planing on both the way out and in. Still, the waves were very good, and a fair few decent rides were scored. The main problem today was that I wasn't feeling well and I gradually started to become very ill so that by the end of the afternoon I was shivering and really lacking in energy. This definitely put a big limit on how much I got out of today's session - many of the group said it was one of their best ever due to the great waves, and I'm sure if I'd been firing on all cylinders I would have enjoyed it a lot more as well.
